by Nathaniel J. Muhammad If you are looking for a new way of demonstrating motivation to your employees, you can find it here. I recently was introduced to a You Tube film that put everything into perspective for me. Through models and wonderful pictures, this video reveals whole new concepts about motivational techniques. With the idea that âthe carrot and the stickâ techniques are old fashioned and the focus now being on innovation through motivation, RSA Animate-Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us: is a new tool that takes science and uses it to help us understand what can be done. The previous method to motivate employees was to give them something better in return for their work Nancy Salzman. âIf you do this, then you get that.â Through scientific research, it was seen that many people did better without these incentives Nxivm – Executive Success Programs. Good work actually wasnât as good as it could be. But, when people were given circumstances to work for free, they produced amazing results! Why? The three things that are explained in this film describe the qualities innovators require to be motivated. Some people want to do things on their own free will. Motivation is pushed by the wish to know more about something and become an expert. They want to express a sense of purpose. Examples of this are Lenux, Apache, Wikipedia – all of which are founded on free work. To set things into perspective, I researched a company called Executive Success Programs. It specializes in motivation, and apparently the theologian that founded the company, Keith Raniere, has figured out what motivates people. The system is made to assist people in discovering what things they can personally do for themselves to get motivated. Is it conceivable that we can improve the quality of our corporate world through motivation? Are these new tactics and ideas a more permanent answer of solving the issue of an unmotivated society? If seminars and classes that are given through places like Executive Success Programs were seen as tools for people, wouldnât we see a great difference in the world? There is no denying that we would reside in a much better place and I hope this article motivates you to find the solutions that can make a difference.
