The NHVR Project in Australia
Written by admin, August 31st, 2011

Mr Richard Hancock is Director of the National Heavy Vehicle Project office. The NHVR project came to exist through a COAG decision to seek productivity, safety and efficiency rewards by moving to a nationwide solution to trucking over 4.5 tonnes laws and regulations.

That is a very difficult undertaking since it demands consolidating legislation and programs across a variety of government jurisdictions in more or less a couple of years. Presently there are many people with a stake in this project in the heavy vehicle trade who may possibly nor share the same opinion regarding what is required.

Once the mission can establish a new regulator produced from its current strategy, it’s going to be very useful for the market sector and most Australians.
