Lately I’m managing quite a few blogs to advertise my own website, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, so far we all agree that wordpress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the GPL liberal license make the wordpress the most popular weblog platform on the Internet.
After a while I believed that build my own blogs will be more beneficial, because subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, of course this is not a new idea, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.
Its quite difficult to manage more than a few blogs manually, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, the real content writing is time and money consuming, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. There are some interesting examples, let’s examine this one, SEO Tricks, the domain name is pretty good, and it has a lot of interesting posts, without a clear theme, there are all kinds of posts on the site. One more example, Girl Fashion, this is a themed blog, all topics are about same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. there are more sites like these out there, though I guess you get the point already. Here is one last note, you should build some casual blogs, do some casual postings randomly, just like this blog, Steel Wire Info, doing this right you will have a natural blogging networks.
After you successfully build a few blogs, you can try to build a few more, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, get your own little blog network going is not that too difficult. Of course its just the beginning, the real stuff will be more complicated, one of the most important things is that don’t get your site dropped off index by major search engines.
